The roguelike
The run doesn't reset.
Three acts, one continuous descent. What you do to win the early fights is exactly what you have left for the late ones.
-
Spent stays spent.
Burn five recoveries clearing an act-one ambush and you meet the boss with five fewer. Nothing refills between fights.
-
The order shuffles.
Acts are dealt, not scripted. An easy opening tells you nothing about what the second one is holding.
-
The run brands you.
Land a kill while a hero is winded and you become Unstoppable, a permanent edge you carry the rest of the way.
In play
The roster
Four classes at launch. Much more by the end.
Every class runs on a different resource and plays nothing like the one before it. Early Access launches with four, fully realized; the rest of the roster arrives across Early Access. Hover to read the kit.
Titles
The run earns its own name.
Titles fire from what happens in the fight, then hand you a permanent edge that sticks for the rest of the run. A handful of the ones you can earn:
- Unstoppable Land a kill while winded While winded, your strikes hit for +3 damage. The nearer death, the deadlier you get.
- Giant Slayer Drop a leader or solo bigger than a person The big ones bleed for it. +3 damage against any creature larger than human-sized, the rest of the run.
- First Blood Drop a leader on the first round Open every fight that follows with extra heroic resource already in hand.
- Relentless Defeat twenty foes across the run An extra free strike every round, for the rest of the run.
- Immovable Win a fight without taking a hit Shrug off a piece of every blow you take, for good.
Take a party into the dark. See what comes back.
